Traditionally we used to “put the garden to bed for the year,” or in more recent jargon “Winterise it” Is there really a large list of Autumn jobs to do before we batten down the hatches for winter? Is it OK to do a bit of winter gardening, or should sleeping gardens be left to rest?
In this gardening workshop, we will look at what are the essential gardening tasks required to protect our plants and soil from the worst of the winter weather and what tasks are better left until spring.
