Preparation for 2027 Juneteenth!
Hello friends,
On Monday, July 20th at 6pm, we will hold a meeting to review this year’s Juneteenth Jubilee and begin preparing for the 2027 Juneteenth Jubilee. The meeting will take place at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 806 13th Street, Altoona.
Items to review:
Finances raised
Expenses
Commemorative Service
Cookout, Informational Vendors, Children’s Area
Media/Promotion
Volunteers for the service and cookout
For Juneteenth Jubilee 2027, our two potential Saturdays are June 12th and June 19th for the commemorative service and the cookout.
If you cannot make the meeting, please send me your observations, suggestions, and contact information (phone number and email).
I would also like us to consider who we should collaborate with in 2027 to make Juneteenth Jubilee even better. Additionally, can we help promote Juneteenth Jubilee through a Kwanzaa celebration and/or an MLK Jr. Day celebration?
