The choice of the participants in the award after a pre-selection of 110 works out of a total of 613 portfolios evaluated was based on particularly valid and significant works which have distinguished themselves in the artistic field - both Italian and international - and above all considered suitable to contribute to the current artistic debate.
The sensitivity towards the main issues of his time which especially since the twentieth century characterizes the figure of the artist becomes fundamental in a world that like ours is becoming increasingly complex to live in and to understand.
Wars migrations social inequalities climatic and ecological disasters find a voice in the work of the artists in the exhibition together with some of the great questions that have been revealed since ancient times to the human being.
However in the works on display there is no lack of a sense of hope for the advent of a better future a the will to act (and react) to conquer it just as there is no lack of awareness of what has been and still remains positive in the world.
