(Englischer text unten)Der amerikanische Komponist, Choreograf und Regisseur John Moran präsentiert ein neues Werk mit der in Athen lebenden Performancekünstlerin Vicky Filippa, das Klang, Tanz und Pantomime kombiniert und von der „everyone company” aufgeführt wird. THE REVELATION befasst sich mit den Auswirkungen von künstlicher Intelligenz, sozialen Medien und gesellschaftlicher Programmierung auf die Menschheit. Gezeigt werden schockierend offene Selbstportraits des Komponisten und Beschreibungen von Personen, die seinen Alltag in Dresden prägen. So wie Morans Musiktheaterstücke meist in »Slice of Life«- Szenarien gipfeln, so werden »alltägliche« Ereignisse auch in dieser neuen Produktion als komplexe musikalisch-choreografische Kompositionen dargestellt.
John Moran wird oft als Schützling des Komponisten Philip Glass bezeichnet, der ihn bereits in jungen Jahren entdeckt hatte. Im Jahr 2003 wurde Glass mit den Worten zitiert: „Ich bin überzeugt, dass es heute keinen bedeutenderen Komponisten gibt als John Moran.“ In seinen seltsamen und unbeschreiblichen Musiktheaterwerken traten bereits Künstler wie Uma Thurman, Iggy Pop und Allen Ginsberg auf.

Vicky Filippa (anerkanntes Mitglied des Internationalen Tanzrates (CID) der UNESCO), Tänzerin, Choreografin und Lehrerin des japanischen postmodernen Tanzes Butoh, ist eine der wenigen Vertreterinnen dieser Kunstform in Griechenland. Seit 2008 unterrichtet, inszeniert und choreografiert sie regelmäßig und präsentiert ihre Werke sowohl in Griechenland als auch international. Sie organisiert Workshops und Performances mit internationalen Künstlern, mit denen sie im Laufe der Jahre zahlreiche Kooperationen eingegangen ist. Im Jahr 2015 gründete sie die Butoh-Tanzgruppe Quantum Body Athens, eine der größten Butoh-Gemeinschaften weltweit, die in den letzten Jahren auch eine professionelle Abteilung mit 20 Tänzern unterhält. Die Gruppe arbeitet unabhängig und wird von ihren Mitgliedern und dem Publikum unterstützt. Seit 2008 hat sie bei renommierten Butoh-Künstlern wie Yumiko Yoshioka, Valentin Tszin, Koseki Sumako, Yuko Kaseki, Sainkho Namtchylac, Atsushi Takenouchi, Imre Thormann und Espartaco Martinez trainiert.

American composer, choreographer, and director John Moran presents a new work with Athens-based performing-artist Vicky Filippa, combining sound, dance, and pantomime presented by 'everyone company'. THE REVELATION deals with the effects of artificial intelligence, social media, and social programming on humanity. It features shockingly candid self-portraits of the composer and descriptions of people who shape his everyday life in Dresden. Just as Moran's musical theater pieces usually culminate in “slice of life” scenarios, “everyday” events are also presented as complex musical-choreographic compositions in this new production.
John Moran has usually been called the protege of composer Philip Glass, having been discovered by Glass at a young age. In 2003 Glass was quoted as saying, 'I am convinced that there is no more important composer working today than John Moran.' His strange and impossible to describe works of music theater have featured performers such as Uma Thurman, Iggy Pop and Allen Ginsberg, and the Boston Globe has written, “Moran is a modern Mozart.”
Vicky Filippa (recognized member of UNESCO's International Dance Council (CID)), dancer, choreographer, and teacher of the Japanese postmodern dance form Butoh, is one of the few representatives of this art form in Greece. Since 2008, she has been teaching, staging, and choreographing regularly, presenting her works both in Greece and internationally. She organizes workshops and performances with international artists, with whom she has collaborated extensively over the years. In 2015, she founded the Butoh dance group Quantum Body Athens, one of the largest Butoh communities worldwide, which in recent years has also maintained a professional department with 20 dancers. The group works independently and is supported by its members and the audience. Since 2008, she has trained with renowned Butoh artists such as Yumiko Yoshioka, Valentin Tszin, Koseki Sumako, Yuko Kaseki, Sainkho Namtchylac, Atsushi Takenouchi, Imre Thormann, and Espartaco Martinez.
