no tickets requiredIn 1983, First & Franklin hosted Baltimore’s first public forum on the AIDS crisis. The Spire Series is proud to build upon the church's legacy of ministering to those impacted by AIDS through a gala concert and art auction in support of AIDS Action Baltimore, Inc. The concert features performances by some of Maryland’s extraordinary musicians.

Works by 40 artists representing a range of styles and perspectives will be auctioned during the post-concert reception, including award-winning painter Joan Cox and acclaimed photojournalist Joe Giordano, among others, whose work reflects the diversity and vibrancy of Baltimore’s creative community.
The Reid Chapel doors open at 2:00p for a sneak preview of the artwork and early bidding. The concert begins at 3:00p, followed by a Live Art Auction and Reception from 4:30p to 5:30p The auction will officially close at 5:15p.
Online bidding will open Sunday, May 31, and close at 12:00 p.m. on June 7. Buyers may also choose to purchase artwork at full price. The final online bid will serve as the opening bid during the live auction.
