Join us at Herrin City Library on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 2:00 pm with author Mike Chervinko, Citizen Archaeologist and Independent Researcher from Carbondale, Illinois. He will discuss his book, "Prehistoric and Natural Wonders of Southern Illinois" covering Pre-Contact (before AD 1500) pictograph and petroglyph archaeological sites of southern Illinois. His book combines over 350 of my photographs with essays and personal accounts to provide a surprising, and inspiring, overview of some of southern Illinois' most popular natural destinations and best kept secrets. Herrin City Library owns this book and may be found in the new nonfiction section with the call number 977.389 CHE. This program is presented by the Herrin History Room and is free and open to the public.
