A father's perspective: Pregnancy and Infant Loss
Join us at for a Fathers and Families Network series presentation that you will not want to miss. Carol McMurrich, EdM, Director of Empty Arms Bereavement Support: after losing her own first baby at birth, McMurrich took her background in sociology, psychology, and education to create Empty Arms Bereavement Support, which offers a myriad of support services to parents who have lost babies through miscarriage, stillbirth, infant death, and termination for medical reasons. John Bandaian, JD, is a father of four who lost his third child at birth and currently co-facilitates the Dads' Support Group..
Participants will develop a deeper understanding of the pregnancy and infant loss journey, learn how the experience of fathers is often overlooked in the aftermath of perinatal loss and learn first hand from a bereaved father. There will time at the end of the presentation for a question and answer period.
