Pre-winter work party.

We have 3 big events coming up over Autumn-Winter 2026/2027 and we still have several outstanding jobs that need completing before then.
A number of members have also expressed an interest in adding some new features to the track. So if we have enough people available anything is possible.
We propose to close the track for the weekend of the 12th and 13th September 2026 to enable all this work to be completed:
We need anyone who is a carpenter to put a new roof on the toilet block and canteen before winter sets in.
The metal fencing still needs erecting.
(These two jobs have been outstanding for far too long now).
The back fence wire netting needs replacing.
The usual painting, mending of timber panels, weeding, track repairs etc. etc.
We have a lot of the materials on-site to complete most of these jobs, what we don't have currently is willing volunteers.
So as always, if you can spare some time over this weekend it makes a massive difference. Even a couple of hours, it all makes a difference.
We will be providing bacon rolls and refreshments for anyone who comes along to help.
So let's not rely on the Nene Valley Octopus (who has grown two additional tentacles) and make this a Nene Valley Raceway team effort!
