De pre-party is op vrijdag 4 april op station Hoorn van de SHM vanaf ongeveer 15:00u. Locomotief 2454 gaat met een gemengde werktrein met Kraansik samen met de Plan U 151 de SHM-lijn op waarbij inhaalmanoeuvres, roetpluimen, uitstapmomenten en de zonsondergang een rol spelen. Er zullen diverse fotostops worden georganiseerd.
