We are happy to announce that we will once again be having a Pasta Party, hosted by New Balance, for people to gather together, the day before the NYC Marathon. It will again be held at TVB by Pax Romana, located just a few doors down from our store, at 171 East Post Road here in White Plains.
This party is for anyone that wants to come. Runner, supporter, friend, enemy – all are welcome and invited.
There will be an all you can eat pasta buffet, consisting of 4 types of delicious pasta, prepared as only Pax Romana can:
Penne Tomato
Broccoli Sausage
Penne Vodka
Pasta Primavera
There will be a cash bar, so any imbibing you may want to partake in is on you.
We are charging a nominal fee of $10 per person (Cash Only, at the Door).
All money collected will be donated to Lifting Up Westchester, the umbrella organization for the local homeless shelters here in White Plains.
We have a special connection to their Open Arms men's shelter because of their former director, Charlie Bevier. Charlie was and always will be a member of the Westchester Road Runner family. During his career as a professional runner, he worked at the store full-time, and then part-time when he decided that he could better serve the community by working with those who were struggling. Over the years, he built up the shelter, while helping people along the way to live with respect and dignity, when others didn't give that to them.
