Themes:
August 12: Friends of the Farm Garden
Come discover the busy little helpers that keep the farm’s gardens growing! We’ll explore bees, butterflies, birds, and other pollinators as we visit the flower beds and fields. Through games, crafts, and stories, children will learn why these tiny creatures were — and still are — so important to farm life.
August 13: Dressed for the Day’s Work
How did children dress long ago? Campers will learn about the simple, sturdy clothing worn by farm families in the 1800s. Through hands-on activities, we’ll card wool, try on old-fashioned garments, and understand how every piece of clothing was made with care and hard work.
August 14: Little Bakers’ Day
Nothing smells better than fresh bread baking! Children will step into the shoes of early farm families by helping to grind grain, churn butter, and knead dough. Together, we’ll make simple breads and enjoy the age-old tradition of preparing food by hand — from the field to the farmhouse kitchen.
