🐎With the start of the season fast approaching, this is a perfect opportunity to tune up both yourself and your horse over a wide range of jumps including some really inviting natural hedges. We aim to make this an enjoyable and informative day both for:
· Newcomers or less experienced hunters who wish to improve their knowledge and horsemanship skills on the hunting field.
· Experienced hunters who wish to brush up on their riding skills, practise jumping natural obstacles and hopefully learn something new.
Outline of the day:
Morning- A Cross Country lesson in a small group with an experienced instructor focusing on crossing the country when hunting - groups arranged based on participant experience / abilities.
Lunch- During lunch there will be a talk byGeorge Bowyer, Director of Campaigns at the British Hound Sports Association, with an update on the political situation and no doubt some of his many hunting experiences as ex Master of the Fitzwilliam and in the field in the UK and Ireland.
Afternoon- Cross country ride round Pontispool in two separate groups: smaller and larger fences
Finish and Tea
Evening- Opening season drinks party at Pontispool
Friday 18th- Autumn Trail Hunting- meet at Pontispool at 9am.
