In the , DHCD’s Property Acquisition and Disposition Division (PADD) has thirteen sites available for acquisition and development into mixed-income affordable housing, either for sale housing or rental housing.
Developers are required to sell or rent 50% of the units to residents with income at or below 80% of the Median Family Income (MFI). PADD is hosting a Pre-Bidders Meeting on the development sites available in the :

DHCD's Property Acquisition and Disposition Division (PADD)
PADD acquires and disposes of vacant and abandoned properties. PADD has the following three main functions:
- Encourage property owners to rehabilitate and/or occupy their vacant residential property.
- Acquire vacant, abandoned and deteriorated properties through negotiated friendly sale, eminent domain, donation or tax sale foreclosure when owners are unwilling or unable to maintain their properties; and
- Dispose of properties in the PADD inventory by selling the properties to individuals or developers to be rehabilitated into high-quality, affordable and market-rate single-family and/or multifamily housing in District of Columbia (“District”) neighborhoods.
