Prayer for Peace

Pease isn't something that we have to hope for, it's something that we can consciously cultivate.
You're invited to join us for an incredibly special event; Prayer for Peace. This is a collective practice dedicated to sending love, peace, and goodwill into the world. We can all start by cultivating a sense of inner peace, then expanding it outward to all living beings.
We'll gather in community to complete a mala of the ancient Sanskrit mantra Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu:
May all beings everywhere be happy and free.
May my thoughts, words, and actions contribute to the happiness and freedom of all.
Using mantras is a great tool for beginning meditators because chanting (either aloud or silently) helps give the brain something to return to each time it wanders. The word Mantra actually translates to mean mind instrument/tool. In Yogic tradition, each mantra holds a specific sacred vibration, and is a way of attuning our own energy and consciousness to the quality we are invoking. When we repeatedly speak, hear, and contemplate on a prayer for the wellbeing of all beings everywhere, we begin to orient ourselves toward that frequency of peace, compassion, and interconnectedness.
There is also fascinating research exploring what can happen when people meditate together with a shared intention. One of the most well-known examples is a 1993 study in Washington, D.C., where about 4,000 people participated ina. large group meditation program. Researches reported a significant reduction in violent crime during that period when the group was at it's largest.
By combining mantra and intentional group meditation, we are invited to take our power back and create peace within that ripples out into the world around us. Peace in the world begins with the peace we are willing to cultivate within ourselves.
After our mantra practice, we'll move into a guided meditation for peace allowing our individual intentions to merge into one collective field of prayer and goodwill.
Each participant is invited to bring a small vessel of water from home. Together, we'll infuse our water with water with the mantra and our collective intention for peace. Water holds memory and has the power to changes its structure just by intention alone as proved in the Japanese Water Study by Masaru Emoto. Once you return home, you can return it to the Earth anywhere you feel called creating a symbolic grid of peace, protection, love, and conscious intention.
Come gather with us! Bring your loved ones, your prayers, and your hope for a brighter future.
Together, let's send a wave of love, peace, and good wishes to the entire universe, remember our connection to all living things, and trust that even the smallest acts of conscious intention contributes to the world we are creating.
