Prairie Bash: Bluegrass, Bluestem, & BBQ

Join us for our annual Prairie Bash—a family-friendly celebration featuring live bluegrass music from The Backroads Quartet, delicious local BBQ, and guided prairie walks through the remnant prairie at the scenic Murray White Preserve in Rock Hill, all in support of our conservation efforts in York County.
Nation Ford Land Trust has been revitalizing a local prairie on the Murray White Preserve, a protected property within Rock Hill, SC named in honor of its founder, Murray B. White. The celebration of our Piedmont prairie will take place just alongside Vernsdale Road with intermittent tours to the prairie (~0.15 mile walk). We’ll be celebrating with live bluegrass tunes from The Backroads Quartet, locally made barbecue cuisine, and learn about charismatic, native species like bluestem in an evening of fun! As a fundraiser for NFLT, all ticket proceeds will benefit our conservation efforts on the Murray White Preserve and land preservation throughout York County.
