Poéticas del borde: Taller de poesía sentipensante
This evening, Ingrid D. González-Ochoa will lead a poetry workshop in Spanish exploring Oralituras, collective memory, and sensory expression through words, images, and textures. Together, we’ll sentipensar—feel and think—to transform personal experiences and shared stories into writings.
About Ingrid D. González-Ochoa & this workshop:
Ingrid D. González-Ochoa is an educator, Ph. D. student, and young poet. Her research interests focus on contemporary Indigenous literature, specifically on Oralituras created by Latin American women. Her research and workshop design draw on community-based creation and Sentipensante pedagogy, through which Oralituras foster encounters with personal experiences and shared stories. These dialogues and collective reflections are captured through pluralistic writing that incorporates images, textures, and objects, lending the poems a holistic meaning.
This workshop offers a space for sensory exploration through Oralituras, historical memories, and collective creation. Through the Sentipensar (feeling-thinking) process, we will explore emotions, memories, sensations, and forms of knowledge, transforming them into words, images, and textures. Finally, we will reflect on how our individual voices also represent experiences shared by the community, as well as the importance of preserving stories through oral tradition and pluralistic writing.
