Powership Experience for Youth
About this Event
What if young people learned the skills that school often doesn't teach?
The Powership Experience is a free, interactive youth event designed to help participants ages 14–21 build practical knowledge, confidence, and real-world skills for future success.
Through team challenges, engaging activities, and a featured presentation from M&T Bank, participants will explore how language influences opportunities in education, employment, business, leadership, and financial decision-making.
Youth will learn:
• The language of money, credit, and financial independence
• How contracts, agreements, and important documents impact decisions
• Professional communication and workplace expectations
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
• The basics of investing, saving, and managing money
• How to recognize opportunities and avoid costly mistakes
• How language can create barriers—or open doors
Participants can expect:
• Interactive team challenges
• Cash prizes for top-performing teams
• Free food and refreshments
• Leadership activities
• Networking and learning opportunities
• A certificate of participation
Whether a young person is interested in college, entrepreneurship, employment, homeownership, or simply making better decisions for their future, The Powership Experience provides tools they can begin using immediately.
