Powering Utilities: Regional Perspectives and Local Action for Advancing TE
About this Event
This workshop, brought to you by the Washington Clean Fuel Standard, brings together utilities to explore practical strategies for advancing transportation electrification in the PNW and beyond. This session will highlight how utilities can translate policy, planning, and emerging trends into actionable steps within their service territories.
Participants will gain clearer pathways for implementing transportation electrification initiatives, along with insights into proven approaches, common challenges, and opportunities for collaboration. The workshop will also connect utilities with key resources, tools, and partners who can support near- and long-term efforts.
By fostering peer exchange and regional alignment, this workshop aims to equip utilities with stronger direction, expanded networks, and the practical support needed to accelerate transportation electrification in their communities.
Key takeaways:
- Clear, actionable pathways to advance transportation electrification in your service territory.
- Access to key tools, resources, and funding opportunities to accelerate implementation.
- Build stronger connections with peer organizations, agencies, and partners to support ongoing collaboration.
About Clean Fuel Standard:
The Clean Fuel Standard requires fuel suppliers to steadily reduce the carbon intensity of transportation fuels through an incentive system that rewards cleaner, low-carbon, and renewable alternative fuels that reduce reliance on higher-emission fuels. Under these programs, electric utilities that opt in can generate credits for residents who charge their cars at home. For utilities that do not opt-in, Forth serves as the backstop aggregator for the Washington Clean Fuel Standard and invests the proceeds to advance transportation.
