POWERCHART Practice Scenarios

Course Description: PowerChart is the one of the Provincial Clinical Information System that houses the patients electronic Health Record Information. This course provides training for staff on how to access relevant information that is needed to appropriately plan care for their patients. This course has 2 components, one is self learning watching videos located on the Health PEI Staff Resource Center and the other is attending a scenario based classroom session.

Learning Objective:

To provide staff knowledge and understanding of patient privacy of information

To provide staff knowledge and understanding of how to access patient information necessary to provide appropriate care.

To provide staff opportunity to practice clinical documentation in the train domain of the electronic health record prior to working in the eHR production domain.
