Discover how ultrasonic instrumentation can enhance biofilm management through a personalized approach to patient care. This program explores the benefits and mechanisms of action of ultrasonic instrumentation while highlighting the importance of matching insert design and characteristics to patient needs. Participants will learn how thoughtful selection and technique adaptation can enhance access, improve debridement effectiveness, and promote greater efficiency across a range of patient presentations. Emphasis will be placed on the Three A's of ultrasonic instrumentation, as well as the advantages of curved inserts for effective and efficient periodontal debridement. Lecture concepts will be reinforced through hands-on exercises focused on insert selection and instrumentation techniques.
