The “Power of Purse-Her-Verence” Survivor Celebration Luncheon & Purse Extravaganza is a Signature Event presented by Angels of Love to celebrate and empower all women.
Angels of Love is a non-profit organization which provides free services to victims of domestic and dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking across Hidalgo County.
Angels of Love’s vision is to extend itself throughout the Rio Grande Valley with not only providing empowerment, financial literacy, youth programs, and legal services but also to open an emergency shelter; which would include counseling, life skills transition training and other related programs that would provide the resources in order to help individuals not only survive but to thrive in their community as a contributing citizen.
The Power of Purse-Her-Verence Survivor Celebration Luncheon will serve as a platform for those individuals who are former victims of domestic violence and who are now thriving in their community sharing their stories to encourage others to take the first step towards a new path.
