Power Hour at the Pawtucket Brain Fair

Join us for a fireside chat about pain. You will learn what pain really is at a molecular level, the difference between chronic and acute pain, and how to treat pain. You’ll also hear inspiring personal stories of fibromyalgia and other pain-related conditions. Whether you have had personal experiences with chronic pain or are simply curious, there is a lot to learn in this Power Hour!

We will be joined by Dr. Alexios Carayannopoulos, a board-certified physician in pain management and physical rehabilitation, Dr. Frederike Petzschner, a neuroscientist researching brain-body connections in relation to pain, and Chloe Zimmerman, a physician-in-training specializing in pain treatment. We will also hear personal stories from people who have suffered chronic pain.
