On October 3rd, I will be running 1 mile, on the hour for 24 hours straight.
This is my year.
I’m taking on the 24 in 24 Challenge for one reason above all else: to raise money for these brave wish kids and support their families during the hardest times of their lives.
As a mom of four little ones under seven, and the wife of an incredible police officer, my days are full, my heart is full—and now, my mission is full of purpose. This will be my second year running and honestly I was only going to volunteer this year but something was pulling me to sign up again.
The challenge will be mentally and physically demanding, but nothing compared to the unimaginable strength these kids and their families show every single day.
I’m ready to be humbled. I’m ready to be pushed.
And I’m ready to surpass my fundraising goal of last year—for them.
