Pottery Summer Art Camp Week of August 17-21
About this Event
We will kiln fire 2 pieces for each child. Fired pieces will be picked up 4 weeks after the camp.
Camp Schedule:
Monday — Pottery Wheel & Painting Day
9:00 AM – 10:15 AM
1) Potters Wheel
Kids will learn beginner pottery wheel techniques while creating fun clay bowls, cups, and creative forms.
10:15 AM – 10:30 AM
Snack Break
10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
2) Painting
Creative acrylic painting inspired by colorful summer themes and imagination.
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Creative games, free art time & pickup
Tuesday — Pottery Wheel & Crafting Day
9:00 AM – 10:15 AM
1) Potters Wheel
Practice shaping clay on the pottery wheel while exploring texture and creative designs.
10:15 AM – 10:30 AM
Snack Break
10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
2) Crafting
Fun hands-on crafting projects using mixed materials, creativity, and imagination.
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Creative games, cleanup & pickup
Wednesday — Pottery Wheel & Slime making Day
9:00 AM – 10:15 AM
1) Potters Wheel
Create unique clay pottery pieces while learning pottery wheel basics and shaping skills.
10:15 AM – 10:30 AM
Snack Break
10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
2) Slime making
DIY slime making with fun colors, glitter, textures, and mix-ins.
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Creative play & pickup
Thursday — Pottery Wheel & Sculpture Day
9:00 AM – 10:15 AM
1) Potters Wheel
Continue pottery wheel projects while learning trimming and decorating techniques.
10:15 AM – 10:30 AM
Snack Break
10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
2) Sculpture
Create imaginative 3D sculptures using clay and mixed media materials.
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Art sharing & pickup
Friday — Pottery Wheel & Clay Creations Day
9:00 AM – 10:15 AM
1) Potters Wheel
Finish and decorate favorite pottery creations from the week.
10:15 AM – 10:30 AM
Snack Break
10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
2) Clay Art
Create mini clay charms, magnets, animals, and creative keepsakes.
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Camp celebration, mini art showcase & pickup
