Additional Details:
Dogs: We love our furry friends, but for the comfort and safety of all guests, pets are not permitted at the event in the visitor’s center. Service animals are always welcome.
Parking: There is ample free parking space at Malden Park across from the Visitor’s Centre
Route: Please note that this is a well-maintained trail with some hills, so the surface may be uneven. Plan ahead with proper footwear and gear! As the path is on a trail, we recommend those that are looking at bringing strollers ensure they are all terrain models designed for outdoor use.
What’s happening at this year’s Windsor Walk?
Family Fun Zone is packed with activities everyone will love - from colorful face painting to make your own slime to take home!
Get up close with Zoo2You: Meet 20 amazing animals, feed them, hold them, snap photos, and have a blast learning all about their habitats, defenses, and so much more!
Lunch: Enjoy a pizza lunch, and don’t forget to bring your water bottle to stay hydrated on the route!
NOTE: After the formal program concludes and the Walk wraps up, participants will return to the park for a pizza lunch.
Breakthrough T1D Walk is a high-energy, family-friendly event where you’ll meet others who "just get it.” Expect smiles, team spirit, and a whole lot of heart. The Walk is more than just an event – it's a celebration of the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community, where families, volunteers, and supporters come together to help make every day better for those living with type 1 diabetes.
