Pottery Imprints in the Park

Learn how to hand-build two trinket dishes or a plate! We will press on leaves and flowers onto the pieces to imprint their energy.

Our time will begin by walking around the land to find our inspirations. Then we will help each other get creative with how simple or ornate we want to make our design.

There will be refreshments of tea and treats to enjoy as we create together. You will be allowed to make a handful of creations, but you will narrow down your choices to your favorite two or one (depending on the size of the piece).

I will even teach you about the herbal medicine some of these plants and flowers hold!

You'll learn the pottery process, as well, and choose colors for the glaze that I will complete for you after the first firing.

After a few weeks, the entire process will be complete! You will collect your pieces to take home and treasure or give as gifts!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Nora Luce is a local folk herbalist and ceramic artist who serves the community at the local farmer's market with her company Critical Ritual. She has a passion for sharing her many years of education in medical botany and folk herbalism. Her desire is for this community to have more awareness of the abundance of plant medicine that surrounds us in this city and the re-awakening of more medicine people on this land.
