Pottery for Kids

This beginner-friendly experience gives kids the opportunity to explore real clay, learn basic hand-building techniques, while having fun!
About this Event

What We'll Do

During the workshop, young artists will be introduced to the basics of working with clay and guided through simple hand-building techniques including:

• Pinching
• Coiling
• Slab building
• Sculpting & shaping
• Adding textures and details
• Score & slip techniques

Kids will have the freedom to create their own pottery-inspired project. They can make an animal, mini sculpture, trinket dish, planter, decoration, imaginary creature, or anything they can dream up!

Parents/guardians: Kids should wear clothing they don't mind getting a little messy!
