Join us for our JUNE🌿3 & 6 Week Hand Building Pottery Course, on the 📍Mandurah Foreshore! Learn the fundamentals of Hand Building and create your very own pottery.

Our courses also include a weekly 2hr studio session to practice techniques or continue working on your course projects.

🌿 3 WEEK PROGRAM 🌿$440 - 3 Lessons & 3 Studio Sessions
▫️WEEK 1 – create 2 handcrafted cups/mugs or small bowls, using one of the oldest pottery techniques – pinch method.
▫️WEEK 2 – create a large coil vase or serving bowl. Learn how to extrude & attach coils + the basics of hand embellishment (handles, under-glazing, carving & sculpting).
▫️WEEK 3 – create 2 slab plates/bowls. Learn how to roll slabs, use press/drape forms & to the art of sgraffito (carving) with slip.
👉 EXTENDABLE TO 6 WEEKS – Loving it? Extend your program to 6 weeks – even during the course! Just pay the difference.
At the end of the course, your goal is to finish 4 pieces (included, additionals are +$10 per piece).
🌿 6 WEEK PROGRAM 🌿$690 - 6 Lessons & 6 Studio Sessions
▫️WEEK 1-3 as above.
▫️WEEK 4 – create a slab cylinder + mug. Learn how to build up with slab, using templates, + lid construction. Learn how to combine techniques & create advanced forms. explore your creativity, as you develop your own idea. What do you want to make? In this lesson, you will begin to sketch & develop your personal style project.
▫️WEEK 5 – Turn your sketch into reality, as your instructor support you in the execution of project, with your new skill library.
▫️WEEK 6 – basics of glazing, glazing combos & firing.
👉 BISQUE BREAK - We break for 3 weeks (between week 5 & 6) to allow pieces to dry, get bisque fired & ready for glazing & under-glazing in week’s 6 lesson. During this week(s) you will get a BONUS session for you & a friend – for free – to show off your mad skills!
At the end of the course, your goal is to finish 8 pieces (included, additionals are +$10 per piece).
INCLUDES:
All your clay, instruction, access to our studio for practicing, use of our tools & equipment and firing & glazing for your favourite 4 or 8 artworks (trimmed, polished, bisque fired, glazed & high fired).
Makeups - If you need to make up a class during your course, you will get to choose 1 of 3 options as listed on our website.
