POTTERY: Beginner & Beyond: Focus on Christmas
Advertisement
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Beginner-friendly — intermediate students welcome!
ABOUT THIS CLASS: Work with Heidi Baust to learn the basics of throwing on the potter’s wheel to create a soup mug, holiday votives and decorator Christmas trees. This class is perfect for beginners and students with experience that would like to try some new forms. We will spend the last week glazing your creations.
WHAT'S INCLUDED: All materials are provided. The class fee covers instruction, use of equipment and tools, studio glazes, and all firings needed to complete each project.
CANCELLATION POLICY: No make-up sessions will be offered for missed throwing classes. If you are unable to attend your glazing session, your instructor will glaze your pieces white and include them in the final firing with the rest of the class. This policy ensures consistency and keeps the studio schedule on track.
Notes
Our studio is equipped with 7 electric wheels.
Come dressed in clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy! While clay washes out, it's best to leave your fancy outfits—and any big or dangly jewelry—at home.
For safety and comfort, please wear closed-back shoes, tie your hair back, and keep nails short if possible!
