About this Event
Let's Thunder and Rumble!
Enjoy an evening learning about the innovative food exploits of the wife and daughter of the internationally acclaimed Cleveland Clinic doctor (Caldwell Esselstyn, Jr.).
As pioneers and warriors (since the '80s) in the whole food plant-based (WFPB) movement, Ann and Jane Esselstyn have charted a culinary course designed to support Dr. Esselstyn's research into heart disease and food as medicine. Ann and Jane’s energies and enthusiasm will take your food fantasies to the next level.
Presenter, Sandi Rechenmacher, will introduce you to Ann and Jane’s wisdom and whimsy via their book (equally enjoyed by men), sharing book highlights and food prep tips to make eating whole food plant-based (WFPB) waaay doable as we "Live Fierce, Stay Bold, Eat Delicious."
....thunder, thunder, rumble, rumble!
First, We'll Eat Delicious!
This evening will begin with a whole food, plant-based (WFPB) potluck. Please bring a dish to share that is made exclusively from whole plant ingredients and is free of added oil. Please avoid bringing dishes containing meat, dairy, fish, eggs, or other animal-derived ingredients.

About the Presenter
Sandi Rechenmacher is a nutritional consultant, natural foods chef, organic gardener, a PCRM Food for Life Cooking Instructor, a Kaleblazer, and advocate for Eat for the Earth SC. She holds plant-based nutrition certification from The Center for Nutrition Studies. A past owner of a natural foodstore, Sandi’s passion to deliver quality foods currently presents via her dedication of exposing marketing hype and faulty science to all who value optimal health as designed by Mother Nature.
Sandi has shared plant based nutrition information through schools, community organizations, corporations, non-profits, festivals and has conducted PCRM Food for Life classes since 2008. In 2018 she prepared a WFPB luncheon and dined with President Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter in their Georgia home. Sandi understands that the progress of each individual she consults causes shifts in the evolution towards a more peaceful world.
If Sandi isn’t consulting or sharing culinary techniques, you most likely will find her tending her organic garden or eating her way through a berry or pea patch with her six grandchildren!
The best way to contact Sandi is by email ([email protected]), as she stays away from social media to have more time for people, gardening, and grandchildren.
