Potion Power: Making Fire Cider 101
About this Event
Join us for our next multigenerational workshop, where we celebrate Black land connection, Black health, and Black Joy!
This gathering is open to all Black children, adults, parents, caregivers, aunties, uncles, grandparents, teachers, community members, and their loved ones. Together, we’ll nurture community, deepen our roots in the land, and embrace the joy of collective healing.
About this workshop:
Cold and flu season is approaching. Let’s harness the power of plants to craft our own fiery tonic for resilience! In this hands-on workshop, we’ll make Fire Cider; a potent herbal remedy rooted in tradition.
Fire Cider is a vibrant infusion of raw, organic ingredients like garlic, onions, ginger, jalapeños, horseradish, lemon, spices, and apple cider vinegar. Steeped for weeks, this fiery and flavorful elixir is celebrated for its immune-strengthening, anti-inflammatory, and digestive benefits. Join us to learn, create, and take home your own batch to support your well-being through the season.
