Postpartum Social Hour
The Gutin Pre & Postpartum Program in collaboration with the Peter Blum Family YMCA
Join us for a warm and supportive meet up for Moms during their postpartum period.
Each date features a unique guest expert presenting on a postpartum‑related topic, open discussion and social time.
Beyond education, the sessions are intended to build community – offering connection, encouragement, and guidance. Moms are welcome to attend with or without their baby, whether you’re looking for bonding time or simply enjoying a mom‑only outing.
Topics & Guest Experts
Maternal Mental Health: A licensed mental health therapist, will focus on emotional wellbeing, postpartum transitions, and practical coping tools.
Infant Feeding: A Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) will address breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, pumping support, and feeding challenges.
Pelvic Floor Health: A pelvic floor physical therapist will discuss postpartum recovery, core/pelvic floor strengthening, and safe return to movement.
Infant Safety: An AHA‑certified infant safety instructor, covers essential safety skills every parent should know. The basics of infant CPR, choking prevention and response and safe sleep practices will be covered.
Nutrition for the Postpartum Mom: A Registered Dietician will share essentials for postpartum nourishment and healing. Topic discusions will aslo include how to support healthy and safe early feeding .
