Portuguese Storytime

The Portuguese Storytime is a warm and playful gathering designed for Brazilian and Latino families in Pittsburgh who want to strengthen their children’s connection to the Portuguese language through storytelling, imagination, and community.

This event is limited to 20 children, and parents, grandparents, and family members are warmly invited to join and participate.

Each family is encouraged to bring the child’s favorite book for a short shared reading moment. A chance for your child to present their beloved story to other kids, practice communication, and celebrate Brazilian culture together.

• Communication skills — speaking, listening, and expressing themselves in Portuguese.
• Creativity — imagination sparked by diverse stories.
• Family bonding — shared reading time that strengthens connection.
• Brazilian culture — exposure to books, characters, and themes from our heritage.
• Social interaction — playful exchanges with other children in a welcoming environment.
