The Portsmouth EDA Small Business Revolving Loan Fund, aimed at supporting and growing Portsmouth based businesses. The program is made possible by the Portsmouth EDA and will be administered by Bridging Virginia, a community development financial institution (CDFI). By fostering business growth and job creation, the loan program seeks to strengthen the local economy and enhance community development.

As a partner of Portsmouth’s EDA, Bridging Virginia will administer $10,000- $50,000 loans at low interest rates to local small businesses along with business coaching services. These smaller, affordable loans enable businesses to make investments in their long-term sustainability, encouraging businesses and entrepreneurs to stay and grow in their communities.

Local businesses will be able to use these loans for a variety of expenses, including working capital, leasehold improvements, marketing services, equipment, inventory, and to secure contracts.
