Portraits of Us: Art Workshop
About this Event
As part of the Enabling Accessibility project at IMWAH, join us for a free art workshop to create your own self portraits!
In this workshop, we'll explore what makes each of us unique- our stories, our roots, and our experiences, and bring that to life on canvas. The workshop will be led by Nailah Moon, who will guide us through the basics of self-portrait making in a fun and welcoming space. Express yourself creatively and connect with other women in the community! This event is a closed space for immigrant and newcomer women only.
When: Saturday, June 13th; 2:00 –4:00 pm
Where: RBC Learning Centre, 3rd Floor, Halifax Central Library, 5440 Spring Garden Rd
Light snacks and all art materials will be provided. We'll also have plants and seeds to share for those interested! Please reach out if you need any assistance to attend.
