Το Post-Sonic Experiment εγκαινιάζει τη σειρά “Portraits”, στην οποία φιλοξενεί καλλιτέχνες σε αφιερωματικές συναυλίες. Σκοπός του εγχειρήματος είναι να δοθεί χώρος σε καλλιτέχνες εκτός Θεσσαλονίκης, από το ευρύ φάσμα της σύγχρονης μουσικής, για παρουσίαση μέρους της δουλειάς και της ταυτότητάς τους στο κοινό της πόλης και γνωριμία με αυτό.
Στην πρώτη συναυλία της σειράς “Portraits” το Post-Sonic Experiment υποδέχεται τον Yaron Deutsch, σε ένα σετ ελεύθερου αυτοσχεδιασμού με επίκεντρο την ηλεκτρική κιθάρα. Ο Yaron Deutsch είναι κιθαρίστας με σημαντική δισκογραφική, συναυλιακή και εκπαιδευτική παρουσία στη σύγχρονη μουσική. Είναι, μεταξύ άλλων, διευθυντής του κουαρτέτου Nikel και συχνός συνεργάτης των Klangforum Wien και Musikfabrik, ενώ επίσης διδάσκει στην Μουσική Ακαδημία της Βασιλείας και στα θερινά μαθήματα του Ντάρμστατ.
Post-Sonic Experiment inaugurates the “Portraits” series, which hosts artists in dedicated tribute concerts. The aim of this initiative is to create space for artists from outside Thessaloniki, spanning the broad spectrum of contemporary music, to present part of their work and artistic identity to the city’s audience and to engage with it.
In the first concert of the “Portraits” series, Post-Sonic Experiment welcomes Yaron Deutsch for a free improvisation set centered on the electric guitar. Yaron Deutsch is a guitarist with a significant discographic, concert, and educational presence in contemporary music. Among other activities, he is the artistic director of the Nikel Quartet and a frequent collaborator with Klangforum Wien and Musikfabrik. He also teaches at the Basel Academy of Music and at the Darmstadt Summer Courses.
