About this Event
Come and join local artist & illustrator Lizzie How for a relaxed & calm afternoon drawing portraits of a live model while sipping on delicious pints.
This session is for everyone, even those that think that they can’t draw! Complete beginners very welcome.
The session format
We suggest you arrive 15 mins early (13:45) so that you have time to grab a drink from the bar and get set up.
The first part of the 2-hour session will focus on short poses, plus fun and quick drawing exercises to help build confidence.
There will be a break halfway through the session to refresh your drinks and have a look at some of your creations.
The second part of the 2-hour session will include longer poses and the opportunity to really get into some calm and relaxing portrait drawing. Lizzie will be on hand to offer advice and guidance for those who need it, otherwise just feel free to draw away!
Basic materials provided. Feel free to bring your own materials - but nothing potentially messy like paints or inks please!
The Essentials
- This ticket includes entry for the workshop only. Drinks are NOT included.
- The set up for the session will be a mix of limited tables with benches and benches/chairs (no tables). A4 drawing boards provided.
- Please try to arrive 15 mins early so that you have time to grab a drink and a spot! Non-alcoholic drinks are also available.
- ALL abilities welcome
- This event has extremely limited capacity - ticket only and you can only buy them here!
- This event takes place in a Taproom so is 18+
- This workshop takes place inside the Taproom which will be open to members of the public. If you prefer completely silent drawing workshops this may not be the session for you!

- Baby changing facilities available
- This is a casual relaxed session, feel free to take breaks and move around as needed
- The session takes place in the taproom so there will be music playing in the background,as well as general taproom noise.
If you purchase a ticket but can no longer make it please let me know at least 2 days before the session to be eligible for a refund. Refunds will not include the eventbrite booking fee.
