About this Event
Join us for a reflective panel discussion exploring the life, legacy and artistic practice of celebrated Queensland artist William Robinson AO.
Bringing together collaborators and close professional connections, the conversation offers rare insight into Robinson’s work, influences and enduring impact on Australian art.
The panel will be led by Vanessa van Ooyen, Director of QUT Art Museum and William Robinson Gallery, whose long-standing curatorial relationship with Robinson has shaped a significant body of exhibitions dedicated to his practice.
She is joined by Philip Bacon AO, Robinson’s long-term gallerist and advocate, and Nick Earls, author of a biographical work on Robinson developed through extensive conversations with the artist.
Together, the panel will reflect on Robinson’s creative life, his connection to place, and the legacy he leaves within Queensland and beyond.
