Peter Kennedy has been experimenting with art forms and concepts for decades since finding he ‘didn’t fit the mould’ of the late 1960s Sydney art push. Peter will be joined by Emeritus Professor Robert Lingard, from University of Queensland, an accomplished interviewer who is featured in our James C. Sourris AM Collection of Artists Interviews, for a lively conversation.Peter's career has seen him consistently pushing artistic boundaries. At this event Peter will reveal how he imagines what is considered art, through installation, sound and video, and other experimental conceptual practices.
This discussion will be followed by a Q&A session. There will also be a screening of Peter’s interview from the James C Sourris AM Collection of Artist Interviews.
This event is the latest in State Library’s Portrait of an artist series, which showcases the lives and careers of esteemed local artists such as Peter.
