Portrait Club

The idea is simple - everybody meets at the pub, and once settled, takes it in turns to pose for a few minutes while everybody else draws!

By the end of the evening you will all have been drawn and will all have a collection of drawings of other people. It’s a sociable, light-hearted, untutored evening of drawing; a chance to practice drawing a wide range of faces and to meet some lovely new people at the same time! This cosy session is free to attend and it a great way to meet some local artists, hang out, and of course, draw. You do not have to book for this session - it is totally fine to just turn up! We start at about 6:30pm, usually have a little break part way through, then finish at 8:30pm. It is totally fine to arrive late or leave early as you like. It is also fine to arrive early and say hi!

What you need to bring

Bring your own materials - some basic kit is provided as a back up if you don’t have anything.

Finding us

The session is run at the Open House pub in Brighton, directions are HERE. When you enter the pub, you will usually find us in the backroom on the left, behind the bar. There will be music playing; bar serves food and has a range of drinks including a local beers and soft drinks.
