It’s time for a good ‘ol fashioned, booty-shakin’, elegant-ass Saturday spent flowing like the wind and thrown’ down like a beast. We’ll spend the day building a series based on my favorite current techniques.

My style of hooping encourages organic body movements that fall into each other and develop currents of exchange with the hoop. Momentum and imagined textures carry us into new territory,
softening and enlivening our movement.

And THEN… we rock the f out. Back and forth. You and me. Forever. Or until 2:45.
…But seriously: Oscillating between a dancer’s observation lens AND some throw-down, old-school booty-shakin: it might be the key we all need.

Some of the most beautiful, full-bodied hoop moves require only a slight adjustment here or there to really make it sing.
Incorporating breath, pivots, the figure 8, the hoop's pulse and footwork. These are the best things I've learned over the past 15 years in hooping, and I can’t wait to share it.
