Led by local historians, this immersive walking tour highlights historic landmarks, powerful stories, and generations of Black Mainers whose contributions helped shape Portland and the state of Maine. From abolitionist movements to Underground Railroad connections, we’ll explore history that deserves to be remembered, honored, and shared.
This tour is both educational and community-centered — designed to deepen understanding, spark conversation, and connect the past to the present.
