The Art Gallery of Mississauga is offering portfolio reviews for Emerging Artists.
About this Event

Complementing the Art Gallery of Mississauga’s Fifth Annual Juried Show of Visual Arts, the AGM is pleased to present a Portfolio Review Day for Emerging Artists working in any medium.

This in-person opportunity invites participants to meet with one of three arts professionals to share their work and receive personalized feedback and career guidance. Whether you are developing new work, refining a completed series, or seeking advice on exhibition opportunities, this event offers a supportive space to discuss your artistic practice and next steps.

How It Works
  • Register through Eventbrite (Registration required, no walk-ins. Sorry.)
  • Limited availability (only 30 total slots available)
  • Meet with ONE of the reviewers during your scheduled time slot.
  • Reviews will be one-on-one for 20 minutes.
  • Each registrant may only register for ONE ticket/timeslot. Duplicates will be deleted.
  • A $10 nominal fee will be collected as a donation to confirm your registration. This contribution both encourages attendance and supports the work we do.

WHAT TO BRING

Artists are encouraged to bring whatever best represents their practice, such as:

  • Bring your portfolio, sketchbook, digital images, video work, or documentation of installations or sculptures — printed, on a laptop, or on a tablet.
  • Sketchbooks or process work
  • Artist statement or CV (optional, but helpful)
  • Be ready! You'll have 20 minutes with the reviewer.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Your ticket selection includes your presentation time. We ask you to arrive 10 minutes before check-in and get ready.
