As spring deepens and the city begins to soften into longer light, Night Bloom opens its summer series inside the heart of Midtown Square at ARTE NOIR.

This gathering is an invitation to arrive differently. To come back to breath. To listen with your whole body. To remember that healing can sound like music, taste like herbs, and feel like being held in community.

Night Bloom brings together live soul, jazz, groove, plant wisdom, and ritual for an evening designed to nourish the senses and gently return us to ourselves.

The evening will open with guided breathwork and healing resonance led by PORTALS, offering space to settle the nervous system, ground into the body, and intentionally enter the portal together.

From there, guests will be carried through live performances by Zhanea June and Mach X, held by the sonic brilliance of Soulology. Through groove, improvisation, soul, and expansive musicality, the night unfolds as both performance and practice.

Between sets, PORTALS will share our Featured Herb of the Month: Elderflower.

For generations, elderflower has been revered as a plant of protection, renewal, and gentle release. Known for supporting immunity and softening the body, elderflower carries the medicine of opening. In this season, it reminds us that blooming does not require force. Only readiness. Together, we will explore elderflower not simply as an herb, but as guide, teacher, and invitation.

Throughout the evening, PORTALS Tea sourced from Indra’s Secret Garden will be available by the cup and by the bag, offering guests the opportunity to sip and carry the ritual home.

Honey elixirs by Heartful Rootz' Love Warrior Medicinals will also be available by the cup and bottle, offering a sweet and intentional companion to the evening’s herbal experience.

As the night closes, we will gather once more in communal breath and healing resonance, sealing the portal together with grounding, reflection, and care.

PORTALS is an earth centered creative studio devoted to immersive experiences through sound, taste, movement, and ritual. Rooted in the understanding that art is a living exchange between people, nature, and the senses, PORTALS creates spaces for restoration, curiosity, and remembrance.

ARTE NOIR is a cultural space committed to honoring Black creativity, expression, and community. Located in Midtown Square, ARTE NOIR serves as both gathering place and platform for art, culture, and connection.

Soulology is a dynamic musical collective weaving together exceptional musicianship, soul, groove, jazz, and expansive sonic exploration. Their work moves beyond performance into embodiment.

WHAT TO WEAR

Come cozy, as art. We encourage guests to come dressed to soften, bloom, and express. Think ease, beauty, and movement. Wear what allows you to breathe deeply, settle comfortably, and feel fully present.

There will be limited seating available for those who arrive early. Guests are warmly encouraged to come early to settle in and, if desired, bring floor cushions, blankets, or yoga mats for added comfort throughout the evening’s opening and closing breathwork.
