The Port Huron Police Department is excited to once again host the 2026 Port Huron Flame of Hope Run on Friday, September 18, 2026, and we hope you'll join us for an incredible morning supporting Special Olympics Michigan!
The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) is the largest public awareness and fundraising event for Special Olympics. Every year, law enforcement officers and community members come together to carry the Flame of Hope, raising money and awareness so athletes with intellectual disabilities can participate in year-round sports, health programs, and leadership opportunities—all at no cost to the athletes or their families.
This year's 5K will take participants along one of the most beautiful routes in the city. We'll start in front of the MOC Building, head north through Pine Grove Park, continue along the Blue Water River Walk to the Blue Water Bridge, turn around at the International Flag Plaza, and finish back at the MOC.
We're also calling on our first responder family! Police officers, firefighters, EMS, dispatchers, corrections, and all of our public safety partners—we'd love to see you come out, represent your agency, and run alongside our Special Olympics athletes.
