Join Ngahere Korowai Collective: Aotearoa Pasifika Men’s Group members at Cannons Creek Lakes Reserve - a previous planting site and regular monitoring zone. Kawhe and kōrero with the men behind the mahi as we make a start to the weekend near the top of the catchment.

12pm-2pm
Bring a picnic and/or an appetite and practise your sour faces as we harvest blackberries with the locals at the Bothamley Park Blackberry Patch and learn from our friends at Conservation Volunteers NZ about pest plants and animals through games and workshops.

2pm-4pm
Fancy testing the waters of water testing? Well, now you can! Join our Wai Connection team stream-side and do some real-time citizen science near the Champion Street entrance. Gumboots recommended if you’d like to assist in collecting samples otherwise cheer the team on and help analyse the results on dry land.
