Join us at the 𝐊𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐮𝐦 for a hands-on exploration of 𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, one of the oldest decorative practices in Native cultures. Traditionally used to adorn clothing, bags, and regalia, quillwork remains a meaningful form of artistic and cultural expression.
Under Lydia’s guidance, participants will learn how quills are softened, prepared, shaped, and wrapped — creating their own 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞- 𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞-𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐭 to take home.
Following the overwhelmingly positive response to Lydia’s previous workshop, we’re excited to welcome her back this spring. The last session filled quickly and received wonderful feedback, and we’re pleased to offer another opportunity for those who weren’t able to attend before.
This workshop welcomes all experience levels. A lunch break will take place at noon; participants may bring lunch, order delivery, or explore restaurants nearby.
