Girls Night? Couples Night? Mom/Daughter night? I need to get out of this house night? Whatever it is, this is sure to be a really fun night! All proceeds will be donated to the Allendale Encouragement Team to use to give back to APS teachers and staff!

Where? Dekker Bros Farms, 7235 Pingree Street, Allendale
Park in the large parking lot in front of the greenhouse. You will see 2 automatic sliding doors. We have bathrooms
on site as well.
Cost: $60 per container ( bring your own porch pot to fill or purchase one at the event ranging from $ 3-$10)
Fill a second container (or 3rd or 4th, etc.) for just $40 each
What is it? You’ll be attending a private potting party in which you’ll be making a winter porch pot using birch logs,
fresh greens, winterberry, pinecones and other details to add in. We will help you get started with some brief instruction, but you are free to create and design as you wish! No experience necessary.
What should I bring? If you have a container/pot you love to use, bring that along. If it is large and awkward/heavy, an insert works great too. We do have some less than perfect pots on hand that could be used as inserts that we are happy to offer, just be sure to measure the inside of your container to be sure it will fit when dropped in. Keep in mind that as you create your porch pot, it will grow in height due to tall sticks being added in so a truck bed or
back of an SUV might be helpful if you plan to “go big.” We have a variety of inserts and containers available for purchase starting as low as $3 if needed, but you are welcome to bring whatever you’d like to fill. We also recommend bringing gloves to work with and hand pruners if you have them. Empty pop bottles/ milk jugs are also great to add filler to the bottom of larger containers.
We supply: Everything you need to create a beautiful container, including the dirt to fill the pot to get started. There will be bows to add in if you wish and decorative picks to choose from that are included, but some more premium options as well as additional greens will be available for purchase as well.
We will offer light refreshments/snacks, however you are welcome to bring whatever you’d like to snack/drink on, including alcoholic beverages if you wish. Outlets and a countertop are available for crock pots/warm things if needed.
What should I wear? Layers are recommended. The potting shed is heated but not toasty warm, and plan to get a little messy....we run a pretty casual ship over here:)
What Time and How Long Does it Take? Most events take place in a two hour window of time.
