February marks four years since the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, and twelve years since the broader conflict began. In observance, join us for a special screening of the Porcelain War, an Academy Award nominee for Best Documentary Feature. This moving film is a powerful tribute to the resilience of the human spirit, embodying the enduring hope and passion of ordinary people living through extraordinary circumstances.
Amid the chaos and destruction of war, three artists defiantly find inspiration and beauty as they defend their culture and their country. They choose to remain in their native Ukraine, armed with their art, their cameras, and—for the first time in their lives—their guns. Photo by Slava Leontyev. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the screening will begin promptly at 7:00 PM. The film’s running time is 87 minutes. Admission is free, with a suggested $5 donation to help offset film fees. Register at app.dvforms.net/api/dv/p697dj.
