About this Event

Skateboarding, like many action sports, has historically been male-dominated, which can make it intimidating for some to enter the scene. Popsicle Skate Night is designed to create a welcoming, supportive space where girls, femmes and nonbinary skaters, rollerbladers and scooterers of all ages (who feel comfortable in a femme-centered space) can build confidence, community, and develop their skills in an environment that prioritizes their lived experience. The more diverse the skate community, the stronger and more creative it becomes — this night is about growing the culture and making skating accessible for everyone!

Popsicle Skate Night at Benson Community Center in Omaha is offered monthly on the last Tuesday of every month from 6 - 8 PM, in partnership with Popsicle Skate, Access Granted, and the Women's Fund of Omaha. Registration includes a free skateboard and helmet rental, but you’re also welcome to bring your own! Helmets and a waiver* are required for all participants.

*Our liability waiver MUST be completed by a parent/guardian prior to attending.*
